BakerLaw provides free wills in aid of local hospice

  • Posted

BakerLaw LLP has raised £1685.00 for a local hospice by participating in "Make a Will Fortnight".

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham holds the event every year in order to raise vital funds for the day-to-day running of their services as well as to highlight the importance of having a will in place.

BakerLaw offered their will-writing service for free and instead of paying a solicitor's bill, clients would be asked to make a donation to the Hospice instead.

Debbie Duggan, Head of BakerLaw's Private Client team said; "The local community is something that is very close to the heart of BakerLaw and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice is recognised in Farnham and surrounding areas for all the hard work they do. We hope the money raised goes some way in helping the Hospice to provide the services to those in need of care".

Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice receives limited local-authority funding and relies on support and donations in order to raise the £15,000 needed every day to keep services running. The Hospice supports over 140 patients and carers at both the Hospice in Farnham and through their Hospice Care at Home scheme.
