Two new trainee solicitors welcomed to BakerLaw
On 1 September 2017, BakerLaw LLP welcomed two new trainee solicitors, Helen Clements and Emily Farrow.
Helen starts her training contract with a seat in the Private Client Department providing advice and support to clients on areas including drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney and dealing with the administration of estates. Emily’s first seat will be with the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department where she will work alongside the firm’s Managing Partner, Amanda Glover and Associate, Michelle Ogunlaja. This seat will see Emily assisting her colleagues in dealing with matters including contentious probate, professional negligence, contractual disputes, land disputes, commercial litigation and motoring offences.
Emily is a Canadian national and a retired internationally ranked FIS Alpine Ski Racer who has decided to pursue a career in law. She studied her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law in Guildford.
Helen also has a keen interest in sport and in particular tennis. She reached a National ranking of 3 for her age group, and a top junior world ranking of 990 aged 18 and has gone on to successfully represent the county of Sussex alongside her team in the under 18 National Finals three years in a row. She also studied her LPC at the College of Law in Guildford.
