TUPE Procedures

TUPE stands for the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations. This provides that where there is a relevant transfer an employee's contract of employment and all accompanying rights are automatically transferred to the new employer.

The regulations surrounding TUPE transfers can be very complex for both employers and employees. There are special regulations that must be followed before and after the transfer.
