I am an Associate and Head of the Private Client Department. I advise individuals and families on planning for their future and assist through challenging and sensitive times. I consider myself approachable and understanding, whilst offering practical and tailored solutions to the individual situation.
My areas of work
I am an experienced Chartered Legal Executive and fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. I provide specialist advice on a variety of private client matters ranging from drafting Wills to dealing with administration of deceased’s estates and obtaining probate. I can assist with tax planning and the creation of trusts and ensure that people can make decisions about an individual’s financial affairs and health by drafting bespoke powers of attorney.
I have a particular interest in issues surrounding mental capacity and assisting vulnerable clients. I regularly advise families on Court of Protection applications and payment of care. I obtained a distinction in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Advanced Certificate & Diploma in Advising Vulnerable Clients which is a comprehensive qualification of the legal, welfare, financial and practical issues surrounding the care and advice provided to vulnerable and elderly clients and their families.
I am a Dementia Friends Champion. I often speak at seminars, including support groups for people living with dementia and their carers.
My previous experience
I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2009, having worked exclusively in the field of private client law since 2004. I joined BakerLaw in January 2013.
