I am an Associate in the Employment Law Department advising individuals and businesses on all aspects of employment law and human resources.
My areas of work
As an experienced employment law solicitor, I routinely advise clients on dealing with internal grievances, disciplinary procedures and redundancies and provide high quality HR documents. In addition, I advise on and robustly negotiate employee departures and draft settlement agreements, where appropriate.
I have successfully represented clients in the Employment Tribunal in claims ranging from unfair dismissal to complex discrimination claims.
Whilst I am able to provide a full-employment law advice service, I have particular expertise in advising on issues of long-term sickness absence. I regularly advise on issues relating to work-related stress, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and disability discrimination claims. I am an active contributor to The @Work Partnership's Occupational Health [at Work] Journal for Occupational Health Practitioners. I have also been invited to speak on the subject of disability discrimination by different associations and organisations.
My previous experience
I qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and have practiced employment law exclusively having started my legal career at a specialist employment law firm. I went on to work for a full-service firm where in addition to my role as an employment lawyer, I played an active role in managing the firm’s HR until I joined BakerLaw LLP in July 2017. My involvement in business development and marketing has included my role as secretary and committee member of a successful networking group and managing the firm’s social media platforms.

My interest and hobbies
My cottage garden occupies most of my time but when I am not tending to my vegetables I can be found enjoying a walk in the countryside with the family dogs or sipping a cocktail.
