Dementia Friends is a social movement created to tackle the stigma and lack of understanding which mean many people living with dementia can face social issues and exclusion.
Today, 27th June, Dementia Friends are celebrating reaching 2 million people across the country which makes it the largest ever social movement in the UK and we wish to congratulate them on this and encourage others to take part.
Debbie Duggan, Head of Private Client, is a Dementia Friend Champion. A Champion is someone who volunteers to encourage others to make a positive difference to people living in their community through giving them information about the personal impact of dementia and what they can help do. Debbie has been helping spread the message by holding information sessions at BakerLaw.
If you would be interested in taking part in an information session or belong to an organisation or social group which you feel would benefit from a Dementia Friends information session then please email Debbie Duggan on firstname.lastname@example.org.
