Following the recent ruling that Employment Tribunal Fees are unlawful the Government has now announced its fees refund scheme.
In addition to refunding all fees paid, 0.5% interest will be paid to claimants calculated from the date of the original payment until the refund date.
Up to 1000 people will be contacted before the scheme opens with the opportunity to complete the application for refunds. For everyone else, the Government has set up a pre-registration scheme to register their interest by emailing ethelpwithfees@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk.

The estimated cost of the Employment Tribunals fees refunds, including interest, is said to be £33 million.
