Mark Ridley
I am a Partner in the Dispute Resolution department.
My Areas of Work
My expertise is in the following areas:
- Commercial disputes
- Inheritance disputes
- Property disputes
My Experience
I qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and since then I have practised dispute resolution, exclusively.
Before then, I graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Economics and spent 4 years working outside the legal services sector for a FTSE 100 company. As a consequence, I am able to draw upon first-hand experience when meeting the requirements of commercial clients. My commercial practice extends to include expertise in a variety of different dispute resolution areas including contract, misrepresentation, shareholder disputes, property, and intellectual property.
I also act for individuals, and have considerable experience advising clients in connection with contentious wills, trusts and probate – including 1975 Act applications. In addition, I have resolved many cases involving co-owner disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and rights of way disputes.
I acted successfully for a client in the reported case of Watson v Sadiq and another [2015] EWHC 3403 (QB).
Professional Associations
I am a member of The Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
