Danielle Dyer

I am a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department. I advise individuals, contractors, companies and organisations when they find themselves in dispute with another. I seek to resolve the dispute through negotiations, alternative dispute resolution or if necessary through the Court.

My Areas of Work

I have experience in and act in a range of contentious matters including contract disputes, debt recovery, building disputes, residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes, lease extensions and collective enfranchisement and company and/or business disputes.

My Specialism

I have experience and expertise particularly in the field of property litigation including matters such as opposed and unopposed lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 with much of my experience falling within opposed lease renewals contested on redevelopment grounds under section 30 (1) (f) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. In addition, my expertise covers complex forfeiture matters, advice and proceedings for both landlord and tenant in respect of termination of assured shorthold tenancies under either section 21 of the Housing Act 1988 and section 8 of the Housing Act 1988. I also advise upon rights of way, dilapidations and lease/licence disputes.

My Previous Experience

I qualified as a Solicitor in 2016. My training and first 2 years post qualification was in a London law firm and I was part of the team recognised in the Legal 500 2018 as “tenacious and determined in achieving the best possible outcome for clients”. I joined BakerLaw in November 2018 and I bring with me my invaluable training, experience and client focus.

My Interests and Hobbies

I have a young family so any free time that I find is spent having fun with my baby girl and husband. I also enjoy going out for dinners with my husband, family and friends and generally enjoying quality time with my family and friends as much as I can.

I also enjoy taking part in charity events and each year I participate in the race for life- this year I completed the pretty muddy event in Guildford which was extremely muddy! I also invest time in raising money for Crohns and Colitis UK.
